Plan of Salvation
We have had our testimonies strengthened about the Plan of Salvation the first of this year. We have had a three beautiful funerals that were in the first four months that the kids attended. There were questions of why things happen, how does God choose when you die, why we have trials, etc. Our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and we chose to accept that plan before we came to earth. It may not be easy and may seem unfair but we can always learn from these trials, our testimonies can be strengthened. These funerals have touched the lives of my family and we know that death is not the end and that we can be an eternal family and be together forever. I am editing this post to add a few more. We have now had a total of 5 funerals this year all untimely according to us and also had 2 iguanas and 2 dogs die. Our family has had some good life lessons to love those around us and to enjoy every minute of life. We are continually praying for those that struggle with the loss of loved ones.

Baseball/Softball 2011

It was so fun and sad to watch Sawyer play his last year of baseball. He really loved playing and had a great time and was a great team leader. He has such an easy going personality. He did an awesome job catching this year and really showed his stuff.
We will miss watching him play this next year!!

Drake had a good year too! He is a stand out player. This year we even had a few Mesquite teams we that were in our league. Sawyer was the ump sometimes and so these few shots have him in there. Drake also went to all-stars again this year but I will post some of those later. Great job Canes on winning the pennant again with the help of an awesome coach.

Sierra is really coming alive in softball. She has improved so much this year. She even tried a little pitching and actually did great. She is very level headed and didn't let things get to her. It was fun to coach again too!

Makenzie is a great little player too! She got played her last year of coach pitch and next year will move on to softball. She is a great catcher and loved to play first base. It was nice to have her friend and brother on the team.

Tyson man!! He loves baseball. He can't wait to go to practices and games. It doesn't matter who is playing either. He can't wait until he gets to pitch but he still has a little while for that. He is very focused and is always watching for the ball and
likes to play everyone elses positions for them especially if they are not paying attention.

California for Braves game
We made a quick trip to California to go to a Braves game and for the girls to do a little shopping. We went to the beach and searched for sand crabs, got a parking ticket, found a nice hotel, got great seats for the game, saw a movie and did a little shopping. Good Times!
Fair time again!!

Drake had another great year! He placed 1st in both showmanship and market. He puts a lot of time with his pigs and really get them ready for the fair. He is a natural shower and gets many compliments for how well he does.

Fun with G & G "D" and the Johnsons
G & G "D" came down for the fair and we had a great time. We went up to St. George to enjoy a little swimming with the Johnsons at their condo. Looks like Grandpa was doing his best to make the kiddos scream:-).

Basketball
Sierra, Makenzie and Tyson played basketball this year!! Sierra had an all girls team and had a few of her good friends on the team so she really liked it. This was Makenzie's first year because she hadn't wanted to play before and her age group ended up being coed which can be tricky but she had a great time and enjoyed running around and shooting the ball. Tyson of course loved it too. Trying to get him to slow down is almost impossible. Now on the the next thing.

Basketball 2011

Sierra, Tyson, and Makenzie all played basketball this year. They had a great time. We coached Tyson's team and that was a little challenging for me. They all did very well and had a great time. This was Makenzie's first year playing and they ended up doing coed and that was a little tough for her but she had a great coach and he made sure she had plenty of shots. Great job sis!! Sierra had a fun team with a few of her friends on it. Sierra is not left handed but only dribbles with her left hand. Hopefully soon she will get her right hand down. Tyson loved it of course. He liked to go 100 miles per hour. Trying to slow him and his team down was a chore. Great job everybody!!

Roadshow
The YW/YM from 3 wards participated in some roadshows. It was a lot of fun to watch and they all did a great job. Of course our ward was definately the best. Drake was a knight and did a great job. I forgot my camera and so I got a few from a friend. Good laughs.
